There are two models of AWK-1200: an AP/bridge model and an AP client model. Both models offer IEEE802.11 g/b operation. With a rugged, IP68/67-certified weatherproof enclosure, the AWK-1200 offers seamless protection against the effects of dust and water. Great flexibility in deployment is possible through IEEE802.3af PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) compliance, so a separate power connection can be avoided. The AWK-1200's antenna is detachable, so you can choose your own antenna for special-purpose signal coverage. The -20 to 70°C wide operating temperature range makes the AWK-1200 a natural fit for challenging outdoor environments. Wireless security that brings you peace of mind is ensured with WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encryption (Wi-Fi Protected Access), as well as IEEE802.1X authentication.
Point-to-point and Point-to-Multipoint Wireless Connection
The AWK-1200 can perform both Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) wireless communication, which allows multiple locations to share a single Internet connection. With the AWK-1200, outdoor wireless networks extend connectivity beyond building walls and wired backbones, delivering cost-effective service and information access to the outdoors.
