EDS-P308 is an 8-port PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) unmanaged Ethernet
switch that provides four PoE-enabled RJ45 ports to operate
as a PSE (Power
Sourcing Equipment). The simplicity of combining data and power into
one Ethernet cable contributes to centralizing power sources
and reducing the complexity and cost of field wiring for network
connections.
A Natural Fit for Security and Remote Applications
PoE capability is particularly helpful when access to local power is
difficult or nonexistent. This convenient and smart EDS-P308 switch
offers an IEEE802.3af compliant function to drive Power Devices (PDs), such as wireless APs, VoIP phones, surveillance
cameras, POS card readers, and other appliances at remote areas of
the industrial network. The EDS-P308 switch features highly reliable
extended-temperature operation from -40 to 75°C, which can be well
adapted for use in unpredictable industrial
environments.
Extended PoE Capability MOXA
is also introducing a new product that provides extended PoE functions.
The SPL-24 is an IEEE802.3af compliant PoE splitter that distributes
power to non-PoE devices. Taking advantage of PoE significantly lowers the amount of cabling required for
installation, and eliminates the need to set up additional power outlets.
