All of Moxa's managed Ethernet switches are widely compatible with multiple redundancy technologies, including Moxa's proprietary Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain as well as the IEEE 802.1w/D protocols STP and RSTP. This versatility allows network designers to flexibly construct or expand any type of redundant Ethernet networks today and in the future.
Turbo Ring
• Fast fault recovery
(recovery <20 ms at a full load of 250 switches)
• Flexible ring topology
• Lower total cost of ownership
• Moxa's managed Ethernet switches supported
Featuring the fastest fault recovery available of under 20 ms at a full load of 250 Ethernet switches, Moxa's unique Turbo Ring technology ensures that your network connection runs non-stop. Various topologies can be configured using Turbo Ring, including ring coupling without a coupling control line, dual rings in a single switch, and dual-homing to provide users with greater flexibility and cost optimization when setting up large-sized redundant networks.
Turbo Chain
• Flexibly create multiple redundant ring connections
• Scalable, hassle-free network expansions
• Fast fault recovery (recovery <20 ms)
• Lower deployment cost versus ring coupling
• Moxa's managed Ethernet switches supported
Moxa's innovative Turbo Chain is used to easily construct more complex redundant networks by linking two user-configured end ports within the same segment. Universal interoperability with any redundant protocol, such as RSTP, allows new Turbo Chain segments to flawlessly integrate with any existing Ethernet network. When there is a link failure, the blocked port returns to the forwarding state to ensure minimal network disruption. Compared to traditional ring coupling, Turbo Chain requires fewer coupling cables and Ethernet ports, greatly reducing deployment costs. Turbo Chain is available in all of Moxa's managed switches, which provide a solid basis for forming multiple redundant Ethernet connections with fast fault recovery, flexible topology construction, unlimited network expansion, and cost-effective configuration.
