The VPort 461 incorporates a powerful compression chip that integrates two codec engines capable of H.264 and MJPEG encoding, and generates triple video stream outputs simultaneously. The two engines can be configured independently with user-defined settings to achieve the desired video quality and bandwidth optimization, and can be used for live video monitoring, recording, image analysis, and triggering events over the Ethernet.
Low Latency for Real-Time Security
H.264 provides extra low latency to ensure real-time video operation for IP surveillance. The VPort 461 ensures end-to-end latency under 200 ms, with the time measured from video capture, encoding, transmission, decoding, and display to the operator in a reliable 100 Mbps network environment. Such a low latency is particularly important to provide online monitoring and operation applications with real-time benefits.
Optimized Video Performance
Two built-in encoding engines allow the VPort 461 to provide three simultaneous video streams at up to a total of 75 frames per second at full D1 resolution of all coexisting streams. The first encoding engine can transform analog video signals into H.264 and MJPEG video streams with the same resolution and adjustable frame rates and video quality. The second encoding engine only supports the H.264 format with configurable video parameters. The VPort 461 assures versatile and optimized video performance for H.264 and MJPEG video streams transmitted to local or remote clients and servers.
