Moxa Switches Support EtherNet/IP for Factory Automation through One Click Upgrade
Moxa Supports EtherNet/IP for Factory Automation

EtherNet/IP (EIP) is a leading automation communications standard that enables network convergence for IT and manufacturing control systems. Moxa integrates EtherNet/IP technology into the full line of EDS-400A/500A series industrial Ethernet managed switches to optimize convergence of time-critical factory automation applications. Ethernet/IP will soon be included in more lines of Moxa switches, including the EDS-600, EDS-728, IKS, PT and TN series.

Moxa EtherNet/IP switches support factory automation

EtherNet/IP delivers interoperable connectivity between I/O devices, Moxa EDS switches, Rockwell PLCs, and the SCADA/HMI

Go with Moxa

Customers may purchase an EDS-408A-E or EDS-405A-E to get EtherNet/IP set by default, or activate it with a click in the web configuration UI of standard EDS-400A/500A switches to achieve EtherNet/IP-based convergence and interoperability. With firmware v3.0 or later, more managed switch lines will soon be able to upgrade to EtherNet/IP with the same one-click configuration.

Multi-vendor Interoperability

Compliant with ODVA specifications, Moxa switches provide EtherNet/IP connectivity that converges automation controllers, I/O devices, process control equipment, and Ethernet devices onto one common network infrastructure. Leveraging EtherNet/IP interoperability, Moxa's managed switches enjoy seamless connectivity to complex devices from multiple vendors. Moxa's managed switches use EtherNet/IP to provide connectivity to factory automation systems with faster response time, improved throughput, and also greatly reduced costs in wiring, coding and assembly.

Standards-compliant for Easy Integration

Fully tested and compliant with Rockwell's RSLogix5000 control systems, Moxa's managed switches are easy to set-up and provide comprehensive diagnostic information from within the EtherNet/IP-based control platforms. Through the EtherNet/IP interface, engineers can easily integrate Moxa's industrial Ethernet switches into control networks, and run the switches from either a Rockwell/Allen Bradley SCADA/HMI host or PLC for configuration and diagnostics.
