With a wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C, Moxa's embedded computers guarantee stable operation in a broader spectrum of industrial environments compared with traditional solutions. In fact, Moxa's range is a full 35°C wider than the -20 to 60°C range offered by most manufacturers.
H-type Heat Dissipation
Traditional heat sinks can only solve a limited number of challenges since they are attached externally to the unit.
Moxa has introduced a patented "H-type" heat sink design that can cool down the unit's internal temperature. "H-type" heat sinks involve a plate that can be inserted into the inner part of the unit to make direct contact with the main heat sources.
BIOS Dynamic Throttling Technology
Using dynamic BIOS throttling efficiently cools the system down but also lowers system performance at the same time. Whichever method is used, the ultimate goal is to keep the system cool while improving performance for industrial applications.
Self-warming System for Low Temperature Surroundings (coming soon)
Balance heaters that automatically start working when the exterior temperature drops too low can be used to warm the interior of the computer. However, this method requires a precise and accurate temperature configuration to ensure that the resistors start operating when needed. Moxa's balance heater solution will be available soon.
