IEC 61850-3 Ethernet Switches

Fully compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613, the PowerTrans series of Ethernet switches provide the highest levels of reliability and availability for substation communications, offering strong EMI/RFI immunity, -40° to 85°C operating range, and redundant media and power for challenging substation environments. Maximum flexibility is achieved by a rugged, modular rackmount design supporting high fiber optic and gigabit port densities, suitable for retrofitting or building new substation networks. Especially, PT-7828 supports Layer 3 routing for better network performance within large-scale LANs.

Serial to Ethernet Connections

Even today, many devices in power substations use a serial interface to communicate with remote SCADA systems.
