Leading the Industrial Video-over-IP Evolution
Versatile
and advanced video digitization and compression technologies,
such as MJPEG and MPEGx, make it possible to migrate
CCTV surveillance systems to IP-based platforms. This
means that video-over-IP solutions, which include IP
cameras, video servers, and network DVRs (Digital Video
Recorders), use some of the hottest products in the CCTV
surveillance markets. However, most video-over-IP solutions
on the market today are designed for general purpose
applications, which means they are not suitable for unpredictable
industrial environments. In fact, some seemingly commonplace
applications, such as road traffic control and monitoring,
oil and gas refineries and pipelines, mining pits, etc.,
should be classified as industrial-grade, and as such
require using rugged, well-designed video-over-IP solutions
to
ensure that video surveillance systems work properly.
To meet these stringent requirements, MOXA's new line of VPort industrial video
servers feature an industrial-grade rugged design, such
as power redundancy, enclosure protection, EMI/surge
protection, wide operating temperature and DIN-Rail mounting.
In addition, the products have a high MTBF (Mean Time
Between Failure), UL508 industrial approval, and ATEX
Class1, Division 2 anti-explosion certification, ensuring
extremely high reliability when used in harsh, industrial
environments.. |

Software Development Kit for Integrating Third-party Video Software and Systems |
|
| |
Most video surveillance systems require customized video management functions,
or must be integrated with other applications (e.g.,
SCADA, access control systems, fire alarm systems). For
this reason, a user-friendly SDK (software development
kit) is a good tool to have available for building customized
video management systems. MOXA's VPort SDK, which includes
CGI Commands, ActiveX, and a C library, is available
free of charge to system integrators and third-party
software developers. Learning to use the MOXA VPort SDK
is easy, and detailed documentation and sample code is
provided for quick reference. Click here for more detailed
information about the SDK. |

Versatile and Complete Video Server Solutions |
|
| |
MOXA's industrial video networking solutions include two kinds of video servers
to meet the requirements of a variety of application
environments. The industrial video servers are designed
for rugged hardware protection for use in demanding industrial
environments (e.g., transportation, utilities, factory
monitoring, and automatic control systems). The general
video servers, with compact size and cost-effective features,
are designed for less demanding environments, such as
banking, retail, and general building security and surveillance
systems. All MOXA industrial video servers are covered
by a 5-year warranty. |

Use Industrial IP Networks to Increase Efficiency and Lower Costs |
|
| |
MOXA's industrial video networking solutions are designed for distributed and
large-scale video surveillance systems that work over
an IP network. The products that MOXA provides are ideally
suited for industrial applications, such as traffic
monitoring and control systems, water and wastewater
supply systems, unmanned substation surveillance systems,
and oil & gas applications. |
