Moxa’s green product design emphasizes using recyclable materials, and requires compliance with international norms and customers’ specific green product requirements.

 

Manufacturing
Moxa’s manufacturing guidelines require compliance with government environmental regulations, and emphasize working with suppliers who follow well-established environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001.

ISO 14001:2004
ISO 14001 is the standard for assessing an organization's environmental management system (EMS).

WEEE
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive stipulates that a company is responsible for the ecological disposal or recycling of its electrical and electronic products.  >> More

The Restriction on Hazardous Substances directive prohibits the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. >> More  

China RoHS
The Chinese government has released their own directive for Restriction on Hazardous Substances. To be in compliance, manufacturers must declare and control the use of hazardous substances.

REACH
REACH is Europe's new chemicals legislation, which is applicable in all 27 EU Member States as well as the EFTA European Economic Area (EEA) countries Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.REACH applies to anyone manufacturing or importing chemical substances into Europe. >> More
