What is PFOS?

Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) is a persistent organic pollutant that has been phased out in the European Union due to concerns over its toxicity.

Moxa Leads the Way

PFOS is quite common in semiconductor components, so it can take manufacturers years to adjust their product design and manufacturing processes in order to eliminate PFOS. Many companies have only just begun to make plans for eliminating PFOS in their major product offerings, over the next few years. Due to a corporate commitment to the environment, Moxa has taken early action and is proud to have already eliminated PFOS in over 80% of our products.
