Moxa’s MC-4510-C23 computers are based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and can perform several tasks as both video servers and network video recorders. In this application, one MC-4510-C23 computer is placed in a cabinet, and works as the server for video stream handling and GIS (Geographical Information System). In addition, the computer is required to display the location of the cameras and the environment. Another MC-4510-C23 computer will be placed in the same cabinet, and work as a network video recorder to connect two IP cameras. A separate MC-4510-C23 computer is housed in another cabinet near the operator’s station, and work as a client with two VGA monitors connected.

 

As main control units for the video server, NVR, and video client, the MC-4510-C23 computers are powerful enough to handle 6 channels at a time. They are also embedded with two SATA-II connectors and support two hard disks for large capacity requirement for video recording storage and playback.

 

Of particular importance is the computer’s extended, external power switch, which allows users to power the computer on and off without opening the cabinet. This is especially convenient and can save a lot of effort with respect to system operation.

 

The MC-4510-C23 computers come with various interfaces, including LAN ports, serial ports, VGA ports, and USB hosts, offering an ideal solution for setting up a system-type application.
