The
ioLogik W5300 series wireless RTU is a compact
solution that integrates a GPRS modem, I/O
controller, and data logger into one rugged
aluminum box that offers higher reliability
and flexibility. Unlike previous solutions,
the ioLogik W5300 integrates knowledge from
several different areas, eliminating the
need to spend too much time solving and
debugging GPRS communication problems.
Traditional Solution All-in-One, Compact Solution
Intuitive Menu-driven Front-end Intelligence
Since IF-THEN-ELSE statements are a fundamental part of any programming language, even an untrained engineer will be able to use Click&Go's intuitive IF-THEN-ELSE configuration format to finish an I/O configuration in five minutes. With Click&Go, "Report by Status Change" and "Report Periodically" are possible.
Transparent Serial Tunnel
The ioLogik W5300 series wireless RTU is equipped with one 3-in-1 serial port that supports RS-232/422/485, making it more convenient to connect field serial devices. The ioLogik W5300 has a built-in TCP Client that can initiate a TCP connection request to the host PC's TCP server, and also comes with a transparent serial tunnel.
Solves the Dynamic/Private IP Issue for GPRS Networks
The
ioLogik W5300 series wireless
RTU utilizes Moxa's Active OPC
Server as a central manager,
which not only connects to the
SCADA system, but also acts
as a GPRS device gateway for
managing the IP addresses of
GPRS devices. Active OPC Server
requires a reachable, static
IP. On the other hand, remote
ioLogik W5312 units, which initiate
communications actively, register
their IP addresses with Active
OPC Server when a connection
is established, and then Active
OPC Server refers to its up-to-date
IP-MAC lookup table to manage
the remote W5312 units. Even
if a device has a private IP,
the Active OPC Server can still
determine how many devices are
on line and what their IPs are.
