EN50155 IP Camera for Rolling Stock Surveillance Applications
Passenger train and railway station security have become a critical priority for many governments. The installation of surveillance IP cameras on moving trains connected over WLAN or satellite networks make remote monitoring possible where traditional CCTV cameras cannot be installed. This sophisticated solution gives an added sense of security to train passengers. In addition, security IP cameras can be deployed across railway stations and all other critical points. EN50155 is a specific standard that certifies the reliability of onboard electronic equipment subjected to constant EMC, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, and humidity. The VPort 15 is an EN50155 IP camera that comes with tough M12 connectors and IP66 protection to stand up to continued vibrations, humidity, and dust found in buses and trains. The -25 to 55°C wide operating temperature is designed to handle any fluctuation in outdoor temperatures.		   Easy and Stable Installation
To overcome the challenge of mounting a camera on the curved surfaces and soft padding of buses and trains, Moxa’s VPort 15 has compact form and a surface mounted design to provide for a stable and robust installation, ideally fitted in these situations. Equipped with Power over Ethernet support makes installation quick and easy in vehicles where local power outlets are not available. 		  High Performance Video
  Streams
The VPort 15 features simultaneous MPEG4 and MJPEG video streams, which can be optimized for bandwidth efficiency and image quality by configuring the compression level, frame rate, resolution, and format. Up to 30 frames per second is supported in VGA resolution.
