Moxa is pleased to announce that a “Command Line Interface (CLI)” in the latest V3.0 firmware has been released for both the EDS-405A/408A and EDS-505A/508A/510A/516A/518A series. The CLI is a comprehensive configuration interface, including IP, Redundant Ring, VLAN, etc., with which users can thoroughly configure Moxa switches in the same method as IT-based switches are configured. In addition, the CLI can fully work with enterprise network management software, such as Kiwi, for command line based configuration backup and restoration. The CLI can be accessed locally via RS-232 or remotely by Telnet. When upgrading to version 3.0 firmware (available on the Moxa website) the existing Moxa managed industrial Ethernet switches will immediately be CLI enabled.

The CLI interface together with the latest version 3.0 firmware has been released on Moxa's website for both the EDS-405A/408A and EDS-505A/508A/510A/516A/518A switch Series, and will also be released soon for the EDS-608/ 611/ 616/ 619, EDS-728, IKS, PT, and TN switch Series.
