OnCell G2150I: New line of industrial GSM/GPRS modems |
|
MOXA's
brand new OnCell G2150I is a quad-band isolated industrial
GSM/GPRS modem capable of transmitting data and short messages
(SMS) over GSM/GPRS mobile networks anywhere in the world.
The OnCell has an RS-232 and an RS-422/485 serial interface
built in, with high-quality 2.5 KV RMS isolation protection
for one minute and 15 KV ESD surge protection.
The
OnCell can be connected to almost any serial device, whether
it
is
a stand-alone controller, a COM port on a PC, or even
a
multi-dropped electric meter. The modem is housed in
an IP30-rated enclosure that can be installed on a DIN-rail
or on the wall. The wide 12 to 48 VDC power input range
allows different field power sources to be used, and
convenient
LED indicators make it easy to determine the signal strength
at a location.
Features:
-
Quad-band 900/1800, 850/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS
-
GPRS Class 10
-
Circuit-switched mode up to 14,400 bps
-
Seperate RS-232 and RS-422/485 serial interfaces
-
2.5 KV RMS isolation for one minute for all serial and power lines
-
15 KV ESD surge protection
-
LED indicators for cellular status and signal level
-
DIN-rail and wall mounting
The OnCell G2150I GSM/GPRS modem is well-suited for applications such as the following:
-
Remote access to devices at outdoor sites where it is difficult or impossible to install land lines, such as offshore sites, in the mountains, on the roof of a building, or by a highway.
- Supports
remote meter monitoring and other data acquisition
and control applications to allow remote access
to devices for indoor applications where devices
cannot access
the local network, such as aftermarket services or rental equipment.
-
Remote
modem access combined with extra 2.5 KV isolation protection
for RS-422 or RS-485 devices means that the OnCell
can be used without serial converters.
