Industrial gigabit media converter (IMC-101G) ready in July
MOXA's newly released product, called the IMC-101G, is an industrial-grade gigabit
Ethernet media converter. This new product offers industrial-grade
media conversion between 10/100/1000BaseT(X) and 1000BaseSX/LX/LHX/ZX.
The IMC-101G has an open SFP slot that allows users to
plug in the appropriate SFP optical device
to suit a variety of applications. Since media converters
are relatively inexpensive, system managers can view the
IMC-101G as an economical solution when longer
transmission
distances are required. The IMC-101G allows
users to extend transmission distance up to 80 kilometers
(over
single mode fiber) and broaden the bandwidth to 1000 Mbps.
The industrial-grade IMC-101G
has an industrial strength outer shell, and is designed
to operate reliably in extreme temperatures
ranging from -40 to 75°C. In addition, each IMC-101G
converter comes with Link Fault Pass-Through, giving system
maintainers
an efficient
means of troubleshooting broken links.
The IMC-101G will be available at the end of July.
