Version 4.0 of MOXA's SoftDVR™ Lite IP Surveillance Software,
which supports up to 4 video cameras, is now available.
The software was upgraded so that it can support
the VPort 351, which is MOXA's newest 1-port industrial
video encoder with MPEG4
video streams.
The
user interface and functions supported by SoftDVR Lite
Ver. 4.0 are the same as the previous version.
Note, however,
that the
system
requirements
for the PC have changed. Due to the fact that the VPort
351 supports up to 30 FPS in Full D1 resolution (NTSC:
720 x 480, PAL: 720 x 576), more system resources must
be used to decode video streams. For this reason,
the CPU, RAM, and VGA specifications of the PC may
need to be upgraded.
SoftDVR™ Lite Ver. 4.0:
4-ch IP Surveillance Software for video viewing and recording
VPort models supported:
VPort 2110, VPort 2140, VPort 2141, VPort 2310, VPort 3310, VPort 351 series

- Intel Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz HT (Hyper-Threading) or above
- At least 512 MB of SDRAM
- Nvidia GeForce or ATI TNT2 graphics card with at least 32 MB of display memory
- DirectX 9.0 or above
Starting immediately, SoftDVR Lite Ver. 4.0 will be included in the Document
and Software CD that ships with the VPort 351. The updated
software can also be downloaded from the download center
of Moxa's website at:
http://web4.moxa.com/support/download_center.asp?model=381.
Note:
VPort 351's Ver. 2.0 firmware is scheduled for release
in August. At that time, in order to support MJPEG
video streams we will upgrade SoftDVR Lite to Ver.
4.1 and SoftDVR Pro to Ver.
4.1.
