The new Universal PCI boards conform to the new expansion slot standard that is rapidly being adopted by PC server manufacturers. In addition, the new boards work with both 3.3V and 5V slots, so they can be used in virtually any PC server available. Up to 8 independent RS-232/422/485 serial ports can be added to your PC so you can connect data acquisition equipment and many other serial devices.
