The VPort 351 industrial video encoder has been verified as compatible with Barco video streaming products, which means better integration with the display components of industrial IP video surveillance systems. The VPort's video stream is easily decoded by Barco's streaming video cards, so it can be incorporated into Barco's video-over-IP systems.
Barco is known throughout the world for its video display and visualization solutions in markets such as traffic surveillance, traffic control, broadcasting, defense, and security. They design and develop solutions for large screen visualization, critical systems displays, and visual inspection systems. In order to improve interoperability with premiere products on the market, Barco encourages a select number of video encoder manufacturers to join its compatibility testing program. Passing the interoperability test guarantees that a product will be compatible with the Barco family of products and will provide high performance.
The VPort 351 MPEG4/MJPEG industrial video encoder has an industrial-grade design and supports video performance up to full D1 (720×480) resolution at 30 FPS. It can digitize any analog video source and distribute the images over an IP network, thereby turning a CCTV system into an industrial video networking system. Using Moxa's VPort 351 and Barco's video card, analog camera signals can be streamed over a network to a traditional CCTV video display for a customized video management system. The VPort 351 video encoder has already been added to Barco's interoperability list on their updated firmware.
