The Active Ethernet I/O software package has been updated and consists of ioAdmin 2.6, ioEventLog 1.1, and associated firmware. The updated version of ioAdmin makes it easier to manage Active Ethernet I/O servers from a remote location. When managing multiple I/O servers that are spread out over a wide area, administrators must know the IP address of each server. With ioAdmin 2.6, a list of all connected Active Ethernet I/O servers and their IP addresses can be saved to a file. This list can be imported when ioAdmin is opened later, so administrators do not need to enter each IP address again.
The ioLogik firmware has also been updated and now supports easier maintenance from behind private networks and firewalls. A Windows utility called ioEventLog is also provided to manage system logs for Active Ethernet I/O servers on the network.
The new software package supports the ioLogik E2210, E2212, and E2240, and is now available for download at www.moxa.com.
I/O server management
ioAdmin 2.6 can save a list of all Moxa I/O servers on the network to a file. The I/O server list can be sorted by I/O type, connection, and location. The list conveniently provides the info you need for easy management of your devices, and can be imported into ioAdmin at any time. You may also enter names and locations for each I/O server, using up to 58 characters.
Firmware updates through web console
On the Firmware Update page in the updated ioLogik web console, you may update the ioLogik's firmware.
Configuration import and export through web console
The ioLogik's complete configuration can be saved to a file or loaded from an existing file through the Import and Export System Config pages in the updated ioLogik web console. This can be a convenient way to apply one configuration to multiple ioLogik units.
