Moxa's new VPort D351 is a 1-channel video decoder that converts MJPEG and MPEG4 video streams into analog video. The VPort D351 decodes audio/video streams received over the network from VPort video encoders or IP cameras, making them viewable on traditional CCTV equipment. It connects to standard analog CCTV devices used in surveillance applications, such as monitors, multiplexers, and matrix switches. Existing video surveillance systems can easily be integrated into an IP-based video surveillance network.
The VPort D351 supports bi-directional audio streaming for real-time voice communication between surveillance and monitoring areas. Transparent PTZ control is also supported for control of remote PTZ cameras.
Real-time Event Surveillance
The VPort D351 can connect a single analog CCTV to up to 64 IP-based video sources with maximum line resolution of 540 TVL. Video streams can be cycled automatically at set intervals or selected manually through the web server or through the 2 digital input channels on the top panel. Video stream selection can also be triggered by event, for instant monitoring of special situations in the field.
Transparent PTZ Control
The VPort D351 is the first video decoder to market that allows remote control of PTZ cameras without requiring separate drivers for each camera. The Transparent PTZ Control feature enables users to adjust remote camera direction and zoom through a web interface.
