The WE-2100T serial-to-WLAN module firmware has been modified for reduced power consumption, making it ideal for applications involving strict or limited power budgets. The reduced power consumption has also resulted in lower surface temperatures and reduced electrical field effects to surrounding devices. These benefits were achieved through firmware and require no changes to the hardware.
