 Obtaining third-party certification is an essential part of demonstrating that electrical infrastructure equipment complies with industrial standards. Moxa takes great pride in announcing that our industrial Ethernet switches, the PT-7324, PT-7710, and PT-7728, have been found to meet the IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for electric utility applications. The tests were performed by KEMA, a well respected laboratory for consulting, one-stop testing, and certification services in the energy market.
IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 specifically address environmental and electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity for communications networks and systems in substations. Additionally, the certifications specify a high level of EMC, shock, and vibration in power substations.
