Moxa's ioLogik E2210 and E2240 of the Active Ethernet I/O
series now use the Rev. 2.0 hardware version, which is more
environmentally friendly than the previous Rev. 1.3 version
of the hardware. The change in hardware has been effective
since September 2008 and will have minimal effect on end-users.
Firmware upgrades are NOT required. In fact, only the new
hardware version requires new firmware, which can be used
with both the new and previous versions of the hardware. Users
will not notice the change in future upgrades.
Moxa is dedicated to protecting the
environment, but our efforts are not limited to just the product
itself. We have also taken great care to ensure that the product
box, packing materials, plastic box handles, ink, and all
other materials used to process and ship our products meet
RoHS guidelines. Moxa believes that we have a corporate duty
to respect and protect nature in the course of doing business.
For this reason, we work hard to ensure that our products
and business practices comply with the RoHS, WEEE, China RoHS,
and other environmental initiatives.
Key component change list:
1. CPU board—changed to MOXA ART
ARM9 CPU.

2. Software compatibility—the
firmware for the new hardware is fully compatible with the
previous version of the hardware.
