EDS-728 modular Ethernet switch receives 2008 Good Design Award

Moxa is pleased to announce that in addition to the coveted Red Dot Award, the EDS-728 modular Gigabit Ethernet switch has received a 2008 Good Design Award. A total of 3,023 entries were considered for this year's award. The Good Design Award, popularly referred to as the G-Mark System, is the only comprehensive design award in Japan. The judges look well beyond a product's outward appearance, and consider the product's influence on the industry as well as its ability to enrich society as a whole. Products are also judged from the perspective of end-users. The EDS-728 design team credits receiving these two international awards to their attention to detail and customer-centric philosophy.

The EDS-728 is an industrial-grade Ethernet switch that features a versatile modular platform supporting up to 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 24 fast Ethernet ports. The switch provides a high degree of flexibility and is ideal for ever-expanding networks. Top network performance, security, and reliability is assured through the EDS-728's advanced management features, which include QoS, IGMP snooping/GMRP, VLAN, LACP, SNMP V1/V2c/V3, and RMON.
