Moxa is pleased to announce the release of the new VPort 254 4-channel industrial video encoder, which is specially designed for mission-critical surveillance applications such as power substations, transportation systems, and oil and gas operations. With an operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C and a built-in fiber optic Ethernet port, the VPort 254 guarantees reliable IP video transmission even under extreme weather conditions and high electromagnetic interference. In addition, the VPort 254 is the world's first video encoder to support Modbus and TCP protocols, making management and integration with SCADA/HMI systems a breeze. Besides video cameras, remote monitoring applications may also use other devices such as sensors, alarms, card readers, RTUs, and more. As a result, the VPort 254 provides 4 digital inputs and 2 relay outputs for connecting sensors and alarms. On top of that, the RS-232/422/485 COM port can transmit serial data over an Ethernet network via TCP/IP. With these key features, the VPort 254 offers an optimal IP video solution for mission-critical video surveillance applications.
