Moxa has released an improved hardware layout for the ioLogik E2242, an Active Ethernet I/O device with 4 analog inputs and 12 configurable digital input/output channels. The new hardware version features horizontal SMD-style resistors instead of vertical DIP-style, for a more optimized circuit layout and improved ESD.
This change is completely transparent, and the CPU board, major components, functions and firmware are 100% compatible with the original hardware. Users will have no problem using the updated hardware in existing projects or applications.
