Moxa's PT-7828 IEC 61850-3 layer 3 switch has been selected as one of top 100 trend products by readers Germany's SPS Magazine. SPS Magazine is a leading industrial automation magazine. The PT-7828 was selected based on the criteria of user-friendliness, innovation, and representation of current industry trends.
The PT-7828 is a layer 3 Ethernet switch
belonging to Moxa's PowerTrans series of substation Ethernet
switches that are fully compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE
1613 standards. PowerTrans switches provide the highest levels
of reliability and availability for substation communications,
offering superior EMI/RFI shielding, -40 to 85°C operating
range, and redundant media and power for harsh substation
environments. The PT-7828 features layer 3 routing for better
network performance on large-scale substation LANs and full-fiber
configuration with a maximum of 24+4G fiber ports to support
long-haul and EMI immune communications. To meet the specific
demands of power automation voltages, the PT-7828 allows a
selection of isolated power supplies—in single or dual configuration—including
24 VDC, 48 VDC, 88-300 VDC, and 110/240 VAC. In addition,
high priority GOOSE messages can be prioritized using Quality
of Service techniques, and multicast communications is limited
to the appropriate recipients via IGMP Snooping.
