New UC-8400 series RISC-based communication embedded computers

Moxa's new UC-8400 series embedded computers use the Intel XScale IXP435 533 MHz RISC CPU. All models are equipped with 8 RS-232/422/485 serial ports, 3 Ethernet ports, 4+4 DI/DO channels, a CompactFlash socket, 2 USB 2.0 hosts, and a PCI-104 bus for flexible expansion. The UC-8416 is equipped with 8 10/100 Mbps Ethernet switch ports and the UC-8418 features 2 CANbus ports. The built-in 16 MB NOR Flash, 32 MB NAND Flash ROM, and 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM provide enough memory to run application software directly on the UC-8400 series for data storage. Moreover, the 256 KB of backup SRAM offers improved data retention for avoiding data loss. All UC-8400 series embedded computers have passed FCC Class B certification.

UC-8400 series models

  • UC-8410 (entry-level model)
  • UC-8416 (8 Ethernet switch ports)
  • UC-8418 (2 CAN ports and up to 12+12 DI/DO)
