Moxa Expands Its Family of USB-to-Serial Converters

Moxa's UPort® 1130I is the newest addition to the UPort® 1100 family. The UPort® 1130I is an RS-422/485 USB-to-serial converter with 2 KV isolation protection to shield PCs from potentially damaging surges and electrical spikes, making it the perfect accessory for laptop computers and workstations. The UPort® 1130I provides a plug and play USB solution for both new and legacy RS-232/422/485 devices, and is perfect for mobile industrial instrumentation equipment and point-of-sale applications.

The UPort® 1100 converters offer a USB data transmission rate of up to 12 Mbps and allow for super fast data transmission with a 921.6 Kbps maximum baudrate. LEDs are located on the converter's outer panel to indicate USB status and TxD/RxD activity. Most importantly, the UPort® 1150I features rugged 15N connectors that are designed to stay put so users won't need to worry about disconnection.
