Full Gigabit Ethernet Switches for High-bandwidth Substation Communication
The PT-G7509 is a 9-port full Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for high bandwidth applications found in substation automation systems. The PT-G7509 offers real-time video, voice, and data transmission via a highly flexible Gigabit port deployment. It comes equipped with 9 combo SFP ports, which can also be used as fixed Gigabit TX ports. The SFP fiber modules make the PT-G709 ideal for multi-mode, single-mode, and long haul applications.
Zero Packet Loss and Overall Reliability under Harsh EMI Interference
The PT-G7509 and all other PowerTrans™ products
are IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certified by KEMA
for GOOSE compliance, enjoy zero packet loss,
and provide protection against electrical surges,
EMI, and other critical threats in substation
environments. In addition, the PT-G7509 has
a wide operating temperature range of -40 to
85°C. The PT-G7509 supports Turbo Ring™ to guarantee
fast network fault recovery (< 20 milliseconds)
and standard STP or RSTP redundant protocols.
The dual redundant power supplies (24/48 VDC
or 110/220 VDC/VAC) ensure maximum uptime.
Precise Time Synchronization with IEEE 1588 Protocol
The PT-G7509 and all other Powertrans™ products
support IEEE1588 Precision Time Protocol, which
makes it possible to synchronize network switches
across large-scale distributed power grids.
