The EDS-600 Series Now Supports Hot Swapping

The EDS-600 series (EDS-608, EDS-611, EDS-616, and EDS-619) industrial Ethernet switches now support hot swapping, allowing faulty components to be replaced immediately, without shutting down the system or affecting system operations.

With hot swapping, users can plug and unplug the CM-600 series interface modules to and from the EDS-600 series without interrupting the operation of the system, and retain existing software configurations, such as Turbo Ring™, VLAN, and IGMP snooping. You no longer need to waste valuable time setting up everything from scratch after replacing a module. Hot swapping significantly speeds up problem solving and improves maintenance and operating convenience. Most importantly, the impact from system downtime is significantly reduced.
