● You need to monitor/control devices that are widely distributed.
● You need to monitor/control devices over a long distance.

Since cellular networks support a wide coverage area with lower transmission speed (< 10 Mbps), cellular is the appropriate solution for applications that require long distance communication, including pipeline monitoring, highway signal control, and FTU (feeder terminal unit) remote monitoring.
