Connect Your CCTV System to an IP Network with VPort 451's Multiple Video Streaming Solution

VPort 451 Multiple Video Streaming SolutionTaipei, Taiwan, March 31, 2010—The new Moxa VPort 451 multiple video stream solution helps users upgrade analog CCTV systems to IP surveillance systems. The VPort 451 is a 1-channel industrial video encoder that transforms analog video to three simultaneous streams in MPEG4 and MJPEG formats. It ensures a low video latency of less than 200 ms over an IP network, and allows users to monitor their facilities from anywhere over the network.

Fast and Reliable IP Video Performance
The VPort 451 integrates dual codec engines to generate three MPEG4/MJPEG video streams simultaneously with an extra low latency of under 200 ms to ensure real-time video performance over IP networks. The PTZ control capability can operate cameras to track video directly. Two built-in 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports can support multiple device cascading, or alternatively be used to deploy a backup path when the primary path is disconnected. The VPort 451 provides superior video quality and reliable network transmission, making it excellent for use  with widely distributed surveillance systems over Ethernet and IP networks.

Hardened Design for Mission-critical Applications
The VPort 451 comes with an SD card socket (SDHC, V2.0) to provide up to 32 GB of storage for local video recording. The video encoder comes with a wide range of rugged industrial features, including a wide -40 to 75°C operating temperature, IP30 form factor to protect against dust and rain, industrial certifications (UL508, C1D2, ATEX), and regular EMI/EMS standards.

Ready for Modbus Communication
The VPort 451 supports the Modbus/TCP protocol to bridge proprietary SCADA/HMI automation communication and open IP networks. When used with Moxa's SoftNVR-IA application and VPort Gadget (a simple tool bundled free with VPort SDK), the VPort 451 not only provides enhanced video performance for general IP surveillance applications, but also provides OPC and ActiveX control communication capability, making the VPort 451 easy to integrate with most SCADA and automation systems, and perfect for industrial facility surveillance.
