Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) – U.S. Northern California Region City

Description The Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) is the primary technical resource for the field sales force. RSE’s are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Insides Sales Team, Product Marketing Team as well as the Technical Support Team to promote Moxa’s products. The RSE must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. They must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. They must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical application and sales assistance on all assigned products within assigned territory to direct personnel, representatives, distributors, and customers.
  • Develop, conduct, and schedule product and application presentations and seminars as specified by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans on all assigned accounts as specified by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop opportunities with A&E firms, consulting engineers, end-users, system integrators, machine builders, panel shops, and value-added resellers to specify Moxa products and coordinate appropriate project information.
  • Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations.
    Requirements
  • Four degree required preferably in Engineering or equivalent industry experience and training.
  • Five years prior application assistance, sales and/or training experience.
  • Experience within the industrial electronics/networking preferred.
  • Ability to schedule and conduct presentations, seminars, and training to large groups.

    Embedded Computer Application Engineer

    Description

    The Embedded Computer Application Engineer will provide field application support for Embedded Computer (EC) pre-sales efforts. The ECAE will work with end-users, software partners, distributors and headquarter engineers to develop specifications for EC projects and demonstrate ‘proof of concept’ solutions. Activities include customer presentations, creating demos or prototypes, and assisting customers in the evaluation and implementation of Moxa products. Other duties include providing technical support for post-sales EC activity to end-users and distributors including software support and hardware product testing. Ensures customer expectations are set properly and that all information required from the customer is provided in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities
  • Providing an initial technical interface to prospective customers, assisting in the development and deployment of demos, interfacing with R&D and Product Marketing, and supporting the sales team on customer visits and at trade shows.
  • Facilitates technical support in the selling process (pre-sales) and after sales (post-sales) in the Moxa EC product segment.
  • Conduct field visits for training and technical assistance on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain technical expertise on EC products and applications.
  • Meet Technical Support Department goals to provide Customer Satisfaction to Moxa customers.
  • Conducts product and application training for existing TS Team and company colleagues.
    Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science/Electronics and Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be able to multi-task with working several projects and EC technical support while maintaining good customer communications by phone and email.
  • Knowledgeable of Embedded operating systems (XPe, WinCE, Linux, RTOS) or PC hardware, SCADA/HMI, industrial communication standards, Microsoft operating systems, VB, VC, and C++.

     

  • C or C++ programming experience or capability a plus.
  • At least two years experience in a technical environment supporting projects or R&D.
