Introduction
Project Introduction
CPC Corporation is at the core of Taiwan's petrochemical industry. CPC has their own power substation plants and in order to monitor the power transmission remotely, CPC deployed Moxa's PowerTrans series Ethernet switches to connect with protection relays for collecting data. In the event of an emergency, the PowerTrans switches will send out a warning relay for an immediate shutdown.
System Requirements
• Network devices that offer better EMI shielding in high voltage substation environments
• Fast redundant ring and RSTP technology to ensure non-stop network connections
• Network devices that can operate reliably in non-temperature regulated enclosures and across a wide temperature range
Moxa Solution

Why Moxa
• Moxa's PowerTrans series switches meet IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards for excellent RFI/EMI immunity
• Moxa's Ethernet switches can be used to establish media redundancy with a recovery time of under 20 ms
• The PowerTrans series switches are rated to operate under extreme temperature conditions from -40 to 85°C
