Taipei, Taiwan, December 5, 2011 — Moxa is pleased to present the MiiNePort E3 series, a class of embedded Ethernet device modules that deliver PoE pass-through via an onboard RJ45 connector. The MiiNePort E3 is enhanced with NetEZTM technology, these features reduce production lead time and make the MiiNePort E3 one of the most effortless and cost-effective solutions for serial-to-Ethernet upgrades and conversions. The MiiNePort E3 is also ideal for manufacturers of devices, such as access card readers, meters, digital signage, and RFID readers.
“We are dedicated to providing serial-to-Ethernet solutions that don’t require extensive modification for implementation. With the MiiNePort E3, a serial device can be integrated onto the Ethernet network and the need for a separate power source is eliminated with the PoE pass-through feature,” said Jasmine Lin, product manager for embedded networking products at Moxa.
Powerful tools of the NetEZTM software suite include AutoCFG, a configuration application for updating settings of multiple devices simultaneously to reduce lead time straight from the production line, and EZPower, allowing the MiiNePort E3 to accept system power inputs of 3.5 VDC and 5 VDC. Also, SCM (Serial Command Mode) allows users to configure the MiiNePort E3 directly from the serial device.
