[Description]
A customer would like to convert Modbus RTU to Modbus ASCII protocol using MGate series devices.

[Solution]
This protocol conversion can be achieved by coupling 2 of the same devices with an Ethernet cable.

One of the devices connects using Modbus RTU. The other one connects via Modbus ASCII on the serial side. On the Ethernet side one MGate is configured as the Modbus TCP Master and the other as Slave.

It is important to make sure that the device ID on the Slave device itself corresponds to the settings on TCP Master.
