SUMMARY

Moxa’s Response Regarding the uClibc and uClibc-ng Libraries Have a Monotonically Increasing DNS Transaction ID Vulnerability

The uClibc-ng libraries through to 1.0.40 and uClibc libraries through to 0.9.33.2 use predictable DNS transaction IDs that may lead to DNS cache poisoning.


Moxa is investigating to determine if any of our products are affected by this vulnerability. At the time of publication, none of Moxa’s products are affected.


Moxa's Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) will keep monitoring the situation and if there are any updates to the status of the vulnerability that affects Moxa's products, we will provide an update immediately.
