Moxa demonstrates innovations in Ethernet-based automation at Computex Taipei 2009

Moxa will be participating in Computex Taipei 2009 from June 2–6, 2009. During this 5-day event, Moxa will focus on demonstrating the innovative solutions in Ethernet-based automation that comprise Moxa's most up-to-date products. Come see us at booths A817 and 821 in Hall 1.

Moxa will highlight four latest developments in integrated platforms including MXview Lite v2 industrial NMS (Network Management Software), Rcore embedded software platform, Active I/O in SCADA system and OnCell Central Management. These platforms provide easy visual management for local or remote users via web browsers.

Industrial Network Management
MXview Lite v2 is a new version of Moxa's industrial NMS (Network Management Software). MXview Lite v2 can manage 256 devices with graphical visualization to local or remote users via web browsers. MXview Lite v2 differs from other NMSs by offering an intuitive web interface and simplified flows for users to easily configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Moxa Ethernet switches in a few steps. MXview Lite is designed as an integrated platform that can discover 256 Moxa managed Ethernet switches and all SNMP-enabled devices installed on multiple subnets, and detect abnormal events instantly. Furthermore, MXview Lite allows users to deploy configuration files and firmware in batch.

Embedded Computer Management
Moxa Device Manager 2.0 (MDM 2.0) is an easy-to-use remote management tool for managing Moxa's ready-to-run embedded computers via a web browser. Moxa's embedded computers make excellent front-end computers for onsite data acquisition and industrial control applications, but they are often located at a remote site. MDM was designed to make it easy for system administrators to manage their remote embedded computers.

Active I/O in SCADA
Moxa's whole new Active OPC Server adopts an active communication structure. The auto tag generation function allows users to automatically update tags to the Active OPC Server without additional settings with just a few clicks in Click&Go. Compared to passive polling communication structures, Active OPC Server saves bandwidth by 80% and makes communication with SCADA 7 times faster.

OnCell Central Management for Cellular Application
With OnCell Central Manager, engineers can actively monitor and manage remote site devices from a host site, and get around the problem of managing remote site devices configured with a private IP. The combination of OnCell Central Manager and Moxa's OnCell G3100 series of IP gateway products offers an ideal solution for your industrial cellular applications. This solution can provide both serial and Ethernet devices with access to the Internet over a cellular network.

OnCell Central Manger is installed on a machine configured with a public IP address, and then acts as a go-between between your cellular devices and general Internet devices. Since OnCell Central Manager can see both your cellular devices and Internet devices, you will be able to monitor and manage your cellular devices over the Internet.

We look forward to seeing you at Computex 2009 in Taipei. Our staff will be happy to show you around and answer your questions. If you would like additional information, please contact us at asia@moxa.com
