This involvement underscores Moxa's ongoing commitment to collaborating with industry leaders to promote open and standards-based networking, as well as to enhance advanced connectivity and support the establishment of more open and interoperable process control systems in industrial automation.

The Open Process Automation Forum develops and maintains the O-PAS standard, a standard of The Open Group, which emphasizes foundational and key attributes like Safety, Reliability, Securability, and Interoperability. The security requirements of the O-PAS standard are derived from the ISA/IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards. Moxa has expertise in developing security-hardened solutions through a secure development life cycle (SDL) certified to IEC 62443-4-1, which positions the company well to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the O-PAS standard by incorporating secure-by-design practices into the standard and its implementation.
Furthermore, Moxa’s approach to OT cybersecurity further underscores its commitment to secure-by-design principles.
