QUESTION

How do I reset a NE-4100 Series device server to its factory-default settings?

SOLUTION

To reset a NE-4100 device server to its factory-default settings, do the following:

  1. Upgrade the firmware on the device server to version 4.1 or higher.
  2. Use a jumper cap or a conducting material, such as a paper clip, to close the jumper circuit JP1 for 5 seconds.
  3. When the Ready LED emits a green light and starts blinking, open the jumper circuit (JP1).
  4. Wait for the NE-4100 to reboot. The NE-4100 is reset to the factory-default settings when it reboots.
