The S1 DIP switch located inside the TCF-142 can we used to set the data length in the RS-485 mode.
Set the S1 DIP switch pins as per the following table to achieve different data formats.
For example, if you want to use 7 data bits with parity set to even, which is equivalent to 7 bits for data + 1 bit for parity, you will need 1 start bit + 7 bits for data + 1 parity bit + 1 stop bit = Total 10 bits.
