NPort S8000シリーズは、4つのRS-232/422/485シリアルポートを備えた産業用デバイスサーバーとフル機能のマネージドイーサネットスイッチを一体化しており、製品の導入、管理、メンテナンスを簡単に行うことができます。デバイスサーバーとスイッチを1つの製品に組み合わせることで、スイッチとシリアルデバイスサーバーを別々に購入する必要がなくなるため、キャビネットスペース、全体の消費電力およびコストを削減することができます。

 

シリアルデバイスサーバーNPort 5000シリーズのフル機能をサポート

NPort S8000シリーズは、NPort 5000シリーズデバイスサーバーの機能を完全にサポートしています。必要となる基本的な設定のみで、最大4台のシリアルデバイスをイーサネットポートに接続し、既存のシリアルデバイスをネットワーク化できます。また、シリアルインターフェースとイーサネットインターフェース間のデータ転送は双方向です。

 

フル機能のマネージドイーサネットスイッチ

NPort S8000シリーズは、QoS、IGMPスヌーピング/GMRP、VLAN、ポートトランキング、SNMPv1/v2c/v3、IEEE 802.1Xをサポートするフル機能のマネージドイーサネットスイッチを内蔵しており、幅広いアプリケーションに対応できます。MoxaのTurbo RingおよびTurbo Chain技術（復旧時間20 ms未満）またはRSTP/STP (IEEE 802.1w/D)により、産業用イーサネットネットワークの信頼性と可用性を高めるためにイーサネット冗長性を提供しています。

 

デバイスレベルでのリング冗長化

産業オートメーションで必要とされるデバイスレベルの通信ネットワークは、デバイスプロセスの制御および監視のために使用されるので非常に重要です。これらの通信の信頼性はデバイスレベルでのリング冗長化に依存します。このリング冗長化は、最も要求の厳しい制御アプリケーションに対応できるように、迅速なネットワークフォルト検出や再設定が可能となる設計がなされています。NPort S8000シリーズは、フル機能のNPortデバイスサーバーと産業用スイッチを統合し、シリアルデバイスとイーサネットデバイスを同時に接続できます。

また、NPort S8000シリーズは、標準STP/RSTPおよびMoxa独自のTurbo RingまたはTurbo Chainという２つの冗長プロトコルにより、リング冗長化を実現できます。このオールインワン設計により、デバイスネットワークが最適化および簡素化され、信頼性が向上します。
