NPort® 5100デバイスサーバーは、シリアルデバイスがただちにネットワークに対応できるように設計されています。小型のサーバーなので、カードリーダーや決済端末などの機器をIPベースのイーサネットLANに接続するのに最適です。NPort 5100デバイスサーバーを使用すると、PCソフトウェアからネットワーク上のどこからでもシリアルデバイスに直接アクセスできます。

コスト効率の最も高いシリアル-イーサネットソリューション

レガシーなシリアルデバイスをイーサネットに接続する場合、シリアルデバイスサーバーを使用することは一般的になっています。デバイスサーバーがコスト効率が良く、便利な機能の広範囲の提供が求められています。NPort® 5100シリーズは、MicrosoftとLinuxオペレーティングシステムをフルサポートし、5年間の保証が付属しており、シリアル-イーサネットコンバータに最適です。

調整可能な終端とプルアップ/ダウン抵抗

クリティカルな環境の一部では、シリアル信号の反射を防止するために終端レジスタが必要なことがあります。終端レジスタを使用する際は、プル高/低レジスタを適切に設定し、電気信号が破損されないようにすることも重要です。すべての環境に汎用の互換性があるレジスタの値のセットがないため、NPort® 5100デバイスサーバーには、各シリアルポートの終端抵抗値とプルアップ/ダウン抵抗値を調整するためのジャンパが付属しています。

標準的なTCP/IPインターフェースと広範囲の動作モード

NPort® 5100デバイスサーバーは、TCPサーバー、TCPクライアント、UDPサーバー/クライアント、ペア接続、またはイーサネットモデムモードに設定でき、標準ネットワークAPI（WinsockやBSDソケットなど）に基づくソフトウェアとの互換性を確保します。

既存のソフトウェアのためのReal COM/TTYドライバー

NPort ® 5100デバイスサーバー付属のReal COM/TTYドライバーを使用すると、COM/TTYポートを介した通信用に設計されたソフトウェアを引き続き使用できます。インストールと設定は簡単で、シリアルデバイスとPCがTCP/IPネットワーク上でシームレスに通信できるようになります。MoxaのReal COM/TTYドライバーを使用すると、ソフトウェアへの投資を節約しながら、シリアルデバイスのネットワーク接続のメリットを活用することができます。

トラブルシューティングが簡単

NPort® 5100デバイスサーバーは、イーサネットを介してすべてのユニットを監視するために使用できるSNMPをサポートします。各ユニットは、ユーザー定義のエラーが発生するときに、SNMPマネージャーにトラップメッセージを自動的に送信するように、構成できます。SNMPマネージャーを使用しないユーザーの場合は、メールのアラートを代わりに送信できます。ユーザーは、MoxaのWindowsユーティリティかWebコンソールを使用して、アラートのトリガーを定義できます。たとえば、ウォームスタート、コールドスタート、パスワードの変更によりアラートをトリガーできます。
